- Define obesity and identify high-risk individuals based upon body type.
- Identify patient equipment needs to work within a No Lift Environment.
- Provide appropriate equipment prescription and use of screening tools.
- Identify movement patterns based upon body type for safe mobilization of the obese patient.
This eight-hour course prepares the health care professional with valuable information for meeting the fastest growing patient population in health care today. It will present transfer and mobility challenges for those who are obese and functionally impaired while demonstrating a systematic method of progression and equipment prescription to work within the "No Lift Environment." This program is intended for rehab personnel and those who have significant interest in working with the Patient of Size.
