Get Ready to Move Your Spirit

Start earning your second quarter wellness incentive. The Move Your Spirit fitness challenge kicks off May 12 to June 8. Employees can earn 50 wellness incentive points by participating. Registration is open from April 28 to May 9 on the My Healthy Spirit website. The challenge includes tracking your steps and exercise minutes. Fitbit devices are being offered at discounted prices (while supplies last).

Are You Ready to Race to the Finish? 

Lace up your sneakers and log on for a sure bet if you choose your PCP beginning April 26–May 26 through the My Healthy Spirit website. You can find a variety of primary care physicians to choose from in your area. If you already have a PCP, simply designate your physician’s name on the site. For this last mile of our designate-a-PCP campaign, our goal is 17,000 signees. For each 2,500-person milestone reached between now and May 26, we will hold fantastic prize drawings.

ULH’s ITS Service Desk Completes Transition to CHI 

ULH’s ITS technical services transition, which began several months ago in a phased approach, is wrapping up. On April 26 at midnight, the ULH ITS Service Desk fully transitions to CHI. ULH employees will not experience any interruptions in service and should continue to contact the ITS Service Desk using their local extension (3637) or at 866.236.0441.

KentuckyOne Health Waste Management Services Project Launches 

On Earth Day, April 22, the KentuckyOne Health Supply Chain Management Team, with the support of our Healthy Communities leadership and Green Team members, announced a new waste management program with Stericycle, Inc. This program will not only lower what we spend on waste management by approximately $352,000 each year but will facilitate new statewide initiatives to increase recycling and reduce the amount of landfill waste.

Oncology Doctor Surprises Patients with Easter Baskets 

Dr. Cesar Rodriguez, oncologist at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center in Louisville, played “Easter Bunny” for patients and their guests on the Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology unit at the University of Louisville Hospital. With the help of the Mary Jane Gift Fund, the physician shared a little holiday cheer by distributing Easter baskets to all the patients and their guests on Easter Sunday.

Mammograms Available for Employees on Mobile Unit 

The James Graham Brown’s Mobile Mammography Unit will be available on Wednesday, May 14, for employees who are due for their yearly preventive mammography screening. It fills quickly so take a preventive step in your health and make your appointment today! To make an appointment, please call the Breast Care Center at 502.562.4361 and press option 1. Each appointment takes about 15 minutes.

The KentuckyOne Health Four De Lis Classic Series is back for its second year with some exciting changes. Once again there will be four races run in conjunction with other great events produced by the city of Louisville.
