Quality Through Immunizations

Ensuring immunizations of our patients, as well as our employees and medical care providers, is key to a healthy environment. Please watch for information soon about the mandatory influenza vaccine program this fall. All employees will be expected to participate in the program and comply with the policy. Additionally, a KentuckyOne team has recommended giving appropriate patients immunizations at discharge. This is based on the success of a pilot at Saint Joseph Berea.

Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Helps Kids ‘Build a Backpack’

On Aug. 6, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital teamed up with the You Before Me (UB4ME) Foundation for Build a Backpack Day at Hazelwood Elementary School. Funding provided by Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital allowed 75 kindergarten students to have a free “shopping” experience, including picking out a new backpack, school supplies and a new school uniform.
