Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King’s Legacy
A Special Message from Ruth Brinkley, President & CEO, and Ryan Parker, VP of Diversity and Inclusion
Today, as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy, we pause to remember a man who challenged America's conscience through his leadership of sacrificial love, service and devotion. In a society where violence, poverty and other problems continue to plague the hope and health status of our communities, we’re pausing to reflect and reaffirm our commitment to bring wellness, healing and hope to all, aligned with Dr. King's life and work.
This year, KentuckyOne Health honors Dr. King by moving further into our own commitment of inclusion and dignity for all. We must make decisions that enable us to deliver compassionate care to every single patient. Dr. King said that, “of all forms of injustice, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.”
