Work Underway to Fix ITS Issues

Lots of effort is going into diagnosing and correcting what is causing computer system outages and other issues. Steps taken to address ITS issues include doubling the number of servers processing logons and credentials; enhancing monitoring of system availability and performance; conducting daily health checks of the system to anticipate bottlenecks before they occur; and developing an IT infrastructure maintenance plan to prevent outages.

In addition, CHI ITS and Wipro have developed mid- and long-term plans to bring stability to our infrastructure. These plans include replacing out-of-date hardware and bringing in technical experts in areas such as Citrix and Microsoft. ITS Leaders are also reprioritizing work focusing on critical needs including OneCare and other programs.
