  KentuckyOne Partners with UMC, UofL 

KentuckyOne Health has reached an agreement with University Medical Center (UMC) and the University of Louisville (UofL) to enter into a partnership with University Hospital and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. The joint operating agreement has been reviewed and endorsed by Attorney General Jack Conway and signed by Governor Steve Beshear. Together, we can reach farther, be better and do more. And we can move ever closer to our shared vision of a healthier Kentucky.

  Mammograms at Work

When DeAnna Hall, RN, manager of the wellness program at Jewish Hospital, began her nursing career in the emergency room 17 years ago, one of her preceptors was Kathy Pierce, RN. When Pierce recently shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, Hall was inspired to do something to help her and other employees to be healthier. Thus, she created the Mammograms at Work initiative.

  Your Action Needed: Annual Enrollment

Annual enrollment is the time each year when you can reevaluate your benefits and make any changes to best fit your and your family’s needs.

Employees of the fomer SJHS – Last day of annual enrollment is Nov. 16. Visit HR/Payroll Connection.
Employees of the former JHSMH – Participate in annual enrollment Nov. 26-Dec. 7 for benefits coverage in 2013.

  Holiday Scheduling, Non-Patient Care

KentuckyOne Health is moving forward with a program that requires PTO usage during seasonal holidays for non-patient care employees. This policy allows for employees to take needed time off. All offices and non-patient care functions will be closed Nov. 22 and 23 in observance of Thanksgiving; Dec. 24 and 25 in observance of Christmas; and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s. All non-patient care employees should plan a minimum of 56 hours of PTO between Nov. 20 and Jan. 31.

  Volunteer Your Opinions for Fun, Profit
