Annual Enrollment Begins Today:
Take Action Oct. 26–Nov. 8

The amount you pay for health benefits and supplemental life may change for 2016. Starting today, Oct. 26, you can view your 2016 per paycheck cost by clicking on the “Enroll Now” button from My Healthy Spirit and selecting the “Open Enrollment Change” message. It’s important to go through the Annual Enrollment process to make sure your benefit elections are correct.

NEW! You Must Select Your Tobacco Status during Annual Enrollment: If you do not select your tobacco status, you will default to tobacco user and will pay the tobacco-user medical contribution rate.

This includes completing a LEARN module and receiving a flu vaccine by Dec. 15. Process Improvement:
ED Lab Turnaround Time

Our performance excellence team continues to improve many areas of our organization. Recently, the team gathered historical data from Jewish Hospital ED and noticed a negative trend in lab turnaround. It took an average of 69 minutes from when the provider ordered a lab test until the specimens were sent to the lab or placed in the Point of Care testing equipment. A new process was formally implemented the first week of October. This process is already resulting in a 63 percent improvement.
