Service Excellence Training for Nurse Leaders Begins

Patient satisfaction literature and data tell us that nurse leaders are key drivers when it comes to an excellent patient experience. Yes, we all play a role, but this influential group sets the stage for exceeding a patient's expectations.
With that in mind, a laser-focused educational series began last week with nursing leaders. Taught by KentuckyOne Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Velinda Block and the management team of the Patient Experience Department, the series gives nurse leaders the tools they need to prepare the foundation for exceptional service within their department.
This intensive, six-month series is being launched in phases across KentuckyOne. The series kicked off at Jewish Hospital and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and will continue monthly for the six months. The series commences next at Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph East in October. Additional sessions then will be scheduled.
Service excellence education specific to other clinical and non-clinical leaders will be offered in the months to come.
