Cerner Communications Easier to Access via OneCare Central

If you use Cerner at a KentuckyOne Health facility, 2016 has the promise of something new. This spring, you’ll be able to access Cerner information from OneCare Central, a new “hub” for all EHR information. Downtime notifications, tip sheets, training materials and more will be available on this site.
- OneCare Central will be available through a non-network site, making it easier for anyone to access.
- It was developed based on communications preference survey responses from more than 1,300 providers, clinicians and IT leaders.
- Our clinical informaticists have been introduced to OneCare Central and have provided feedback for its development. They also have a key role in supporting this launch.
- There will also be a mobile version of OneCare Central available for iPhone users. The OneCare app will allow you to access OneCare Central on-the-go. You’ll also be able to target information based on your role, hospital and/or clinic locations, and the EHR systems you use.
OneCare is the enterprise-wide CHI program that encompasses all activities and governance related to electronic health records (EHRs) within CHI. This includes Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts and many more. For more information, contact Teri Gaskin, TeriGaskin@catholichealth.net.
