Dragon Voice-Recognition Software Well Received; Optimization in Progress

KentuckyOne Health providers using Cerner can dictate notes and Dragon’s speech recognition technology automatically populates the patient electronic health record.

Dragon has been well received by many providers, especially in the Emergency Department. Optimizing Dragon is a work in progress. At some sites, infrastructure issues need to be resolved so Dragon can be fully utilized. The tool is expected to help improve physician satisfaction, quality of care and documentation.
