Louisville is one of seven winners of the 2016 RWJF Culture of Health Prize, awarded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This Prize honors communities for their efforts to ensure all residents have the opportunity to live longer, healthier and more productive lives.
KentuckyOne Health is proud to be a partner in this initiative. Louisville’s application team included the Community Foundation of Louisville, Greater Louisville Project, IDEAS xLab, and KentuckyOne Health.
This Prize will continue to support violence prevention efforts in Louisville, such as KentuckyOne Health’s Pivot to Peace program, which is a collaborative to help decrease violence in west Louisville. Pivot to Peace is designed to build stronger, safer neighborhoods by linking survivors of violent gun and knife injuries to community resources.
Through initiatives like this, we can help prevent violence and improve overall health in the Louisville community.
