Sign Up for ‘Bridging the Gap’ Training

KentuckyOne Health employees are invited to participate in an upcoming Bridging the Gap medical interpreter training course. A minimum requirement for those wishing to serve as medical interpreters, the course teaches interpreter skills, ethics and medical terminology.
The course is just one requirement of the KentuckyOne Health Medical Interpreter Qualification Program for Bilingual Employees. Once employees successfully pass a language proficiency assessment and complete the course they are able to provide services as an interpreter on an as-needed basis in their respective work areas.
SPRING 2017 Bridging the Gap Courses:
March 3-5, 11-12
DEADLINE for registration: Feb. 3
April 21-23, 29-30
DEADLINE for registration: March 23
This is a 40-hour course, so participants must attend all sessions in order to obtain their certificate.
*After you register to qualify for the program, review the Qualified Medical Interpreter policy and complete the acknowledgment form and return to Cara Martinez.
