Three KentuckyOne Health Facilities Recognized by U.S. News & World Report
Wednesday, August 09, 2017
This week, U.S. News & World Report announced the 2017-18 Best Hospitals rankings. Three KentuckyOne Health facilities received recognition in this year’s rankings.
- Jewish Hospital received several recognitions:
-Overall regional rankings as the #6 hospital in Kentucky
-Best Badge for Bluegrass Region
-Recognized for performance in Heart Failure, COPD and Colon Cancer Surgery
To develop the rankings, U.S. News and World Report assesses data from nearly 5,000 medical centers across multiple clinical specialties and conditions and survey responses from more than 30,000 physicians to rank hospitals in 16 adult specialties and nine common conditions. Results are based on patient outcomes, such as death rates and patient safety indicators; structural measures, such as hospital volumes and staffing; and process measures, such as hospital reputation. These were among the factors weighed to determine nationwide and regional ranking of hospitals.
We are committed to delivering high-quality and safe patient care across our facilities and are encouraged to see continued improvement as demonstrated through our Living Our Mission Measures as well as external public rankings, including U.S. News & World Report.
Congratulations to all the providers and staff at Jewish Hospital, Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph London for this prominent recognition! Thank you for your focus and commitment to our patients.
