Employee Giving and Fundraisers Benefiting Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's Foundation to Pause

KentuckyOne Health Divesting Operations

We are continuing our work to secure a definitive agreement for the transition of ownership of Louisville market facilities, and we remain encouraged and optimistic for the future of the divesting operations.

As we prepare for the divestiture, we have decided to pause some activities regarding the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation so that we may have time to accurately assess and make funding decisions based on current restricted gift totals. Upon assessment, we can work to ensure that the funds are used for their intended charitable purpose.

The Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation has been fortunate through the generosity of many donors to support nursing and allied health professionals advance their careers through scholarships. The Foundation has distributed scholarships annually and will continue to do so in the future. The Foundation is currently evaluating a new timeline for the scholarship application process and will be announcing details soon.

Beginning with the pay period ending Oct. 6, we will pause all employee giving through payroll deduction to the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation. We will also pause other internal/external fundraising events and initiatives benefiting the Foundation including: Doctors' Ball, Boots & BBQ, theme baskets, jewelry sales and book sales. Uniform sales will discontinue, however, employees may still purchase in-store and use the payroll deduction option for payment.

For questions or concerns regarding the pause, please contact Carol Wade, Market Director of Annual Giving/Volunteer Services at carolwade@kentuckyonehealth.org.
