It’s that time of year again! Time to examine your benefit selections for 2019 during our Annual Enrollment period, Oct. 10-31. You can actually go online now and review what’s changing for next year and explore your options. We have some great enhancements for next year that I would like to share with you. CHI is increasing the HSA contribution from $500 to $600 this year for the individual and from $1,000 to $1,200 for the whole family. This enhancement, combined with $450 in potential wellness dollars for you and, new this year, your medical plan-enrolled spouse, adds up to a large amount of savings to defray your annual health care costs. And remember that your clinically integrated network, KentuckyOne Health Partners, can help you save out-of-pocket costs when you engage with in-system providers (learn more).
Additional enhancements for 2019 include a free eye exam through our vision plan (copay was $10) and the frame allowance is decreasing from every 24 months to every single year. Weight Watchers will be offered to employees at a reduced membership rate. Don’t forget about our supplemental accident, critical illness insurance and identify theft plan options as well.
It’s a great time to note that we have lots of local benefits that you can take advantage of as well. Our Diabetes and Nutrition program is available in every facility and offers coaching for employees and free supplies. We have a retail pharmacy at Saint Joseph East that offers great employee discounts and can provide mail order for prescriptions as well. Lastly, don’t forget about our Anywhere Care that lets you see a board-certified doctor or nurse practitioner within 30 minutes, whether you are at home, work or anywhere in Kentucky (online, download the app or call 855.356.8054). We work in a 24/7 environment and your health care should reflect that as well.
Please take some time today to explore the Annual Enrollment section of the well-being pages on InsideCHI. You’ll find calculators, videos and reference materials to learn about all your options. You can also reach out to the HR/Payroll Connection Support Center at 844.450.9450, 8 a.m.–8 p.m., EST, Monday–Friday.
