About the Stroke Camp
Proceeds from the cookout and raffles will help SIRH welcome 25 stroke survivors to a fun-filled, enjoyable weekend at its annual Stroke Camp. Participants enjoy outdoor activities led by trained professionals in a structured, accessible environment. They are able to socialize with others who have experienced a stroke, as well as learn about stroke recovery and readjustment into leisure activity.

Families are welcome to participate with their survivor, but are not required to do so. Staffed with nurses, therapists and other hospital personnel, the camp allows participants to fish, enjoy hayrides and bonfires, arts and crafts activities and much more.

This year’s camp is planned for Sept. 25-27, 2014 at the Country Lake Christian Retreat Center in Henryville, Ind. For more information about Stroke Camp, visit sirh.org.
