New Ordering Process for
Non-Project/Non-Capital IT Orders
In January, ITS Asset Management conducted an analysis of IT purchase orders and found that a majority did not follow the defined process, and therefore could not be tracked through a required proof of purchase. As a result, a new process was implemented throughout CHI on July 15.
This new process requires all non-project/non-capital orders, which do not need project support, to be placed through the ITS Service Desk. This ensures contracted price protection and proper tracking of IT assets to create more efficient order fulfillment. Project/capital orders continue to go through project managers and site directors, not the ITS Service Desk. For more information, contact Terry Reed.
