  New Saint Joseph Outpatient Care Center Opens in Lexington

KentuckyOne Health has opened a new outpatient care center in Lexington. The facility, Saint Joseph Outpatient Care Center, is a full-service diagnostic imaging center and features a primary care practice, Saint Joseph Primary Care Associates. Services include CT, general X-ray, ultrasound, mammography and bone density. The center is located off Tates Creek Road, near Man O' War.

  Daycare Openings in Lexington

The Saint Joseph Children's Center, located across the street from Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, currently has openings in the preschool program for 3- and 4-year-olds. The center is open Monday-Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 6 p.m., and serves all KentuckyOne Health employees.   Walk with a Doc in Louisville 

Join KentuckyOne Health this Saturday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. to "Walk with a Doc" at The Parklands at Floyds Fork, Egg Lawn. Jesse Adams, MD, FACC, of Medical Center Cardiologists will walk and answer questions. Free blood pressure checks, fruit and healthy snacks will be available.   Bruce Klockars Announces Retirement

Bruce Klockars, group president of KentuckyOne Health's rural/critical access hospitals (Saint Joseph Berea, Saint Joseph London, Saint Joseph Martin, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, Nicholas County Hospital), has announced plans to retire at the end of February 2013. When KentuckyOne formed earlier this year, Klockars agreed to delay his planned retirement to help ensure a smooth introduction and transition for new leaders in the organization.

  Tuition Reimbursement Program

For employees of the former Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare, there will be some changes to the tuition program in 2013. If you are considering going back to school to pursue a degree, you need to review this information. While many aspects of the current tuition reimbursement program will remain the same, there are some important differences that will take effect beginning with any classes commencing on or after Jan. 1, 2013.

Saint Joseph Berea will hold its annual tree lighting ceremony Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. on the hospital's front lawn. Refreshments will be provided in the front lobby after the event. Employees and community members purchased lights in remembrance of loved ones, while helping to support the Patient and Family Assistance Fund.

  Beloved Nurse to be Honored during Menorah Lighting 

On Saturday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m., members of the Fox family will participate in a 57-year family tradition when they light Chanukah candles on the first night of the holiday at Jewish Hospital Medical Center East in memory of their beloved relative, Hilda (“Hindy”) Fox, head nurse at Jewish Hospital for many years prior to her death on the fourth night of Chanukah, 1956. She was 42 years old.
