  Potential Information Security Threat

CHI ITS Security has become aware of a potential information security threat and is proactively initiating heightened security measures. Be extra alert for: suspicious attachments to emails or texts, “phishing” emails or texts (asking you to click on a link, go to a website or reply), emails from parties you do not know or trust, emails that request information immediately, and emails with unusual subject lines or those forwarded from others. Do not reply, open attachments or click on links.

  Access to Cloud Hosting Websites Not Permitted from CHI Computers 

To protect confidential data and electronic protected health information (ePHI), beginning Feb. 1, access to all cloud hosting services will be blocked, including Zumodrive, Dropbox, Skydrive, iCloud, Google docs, Shutterfly, Flickr, Carbonite and Photobucket. Access to these cloud hosting services (including cloud hosting services not listed) will not be permitted from CHI computers.

  KentuckyOne ITS Technical Services Transitions to Wipro   

Wipro is CHI’s new partner for provision of select ITS technical services. CHI’s ITS Help Desk, client computing, voice/data, network services, data centers, server functions and Identity Access Management (IT and application access requests) will transition to Wipro by the end of February. KentuckyOne employees should be aware of this transition, as some minimal changes in processes may occur.

  Frazier Offers Employee Gym Memberships 

KentuckyOne Health is excited to announce a new health and wellness opportunity. The gymnasium on the 9th floor of Frazier Rehab Institute will soon be open to KentuckyOne Louisville-market employees. The cost for employees is $50 per month ($40 with gym reimbursement). A minimum three-month commitment is required. Membership is limited to 50 employees, so a lottery will be held to determine membership.

Since KentuckyOne integration work is still underway, the two markets – Louisville and Central/Eastern Kentucky – will participate in separate wellness programs in 2013. Therefore, communication regarding upcoming wellness activities will be targeted to the separate audiences accordingly. In conjunction with the BODY WORLDS Vital exhibition at the Kentucky Science Center, KentuckyOne Health will present Living Vital, a series of interactive evening events designed to introduce interested adult learners to some of our state’s premier medical experts to discuss a hot health topic. The program kicks off on Feb. 12 with “Healthy Living for a Healthy Heart” featuring Mark Slaughter, MD.
