Saint Joseph London Reaches Settlement Agreement with Federal Gov. 

It was announced this week that Saint Joseph London reached an agreement with the federal and state governments to settle all potential civil claims brought, or that could have been brought, by the U.S. government or the state of Kentucky arising out of the past relationship with some cardiologists who no longer practice at the hospital. The hospital reached this settlement, without admission of a violation of the law, in order to avoid the expense and uncertainty of prolonged litigation.

ULP Physicians Join KentuckyOne Health Partners  

University of Louisville Physicians (ULP) has joined the KentuckyOne Health Partners’ clinical integration network (CIN). While ULP physicians were already deemed Tier 1 providers in the KentuckyOne Health medical plan, they now join University of Louisville Hospital, James Graham Brown Cancer Center, all KentuckyOne facilities and providers, and several independent providers in a collaborative network. With CIN participation, KentuckyOne Health Partners hopes to partner with ULP toward achieving higher quality and safety measures, improving patient experience, and reducing the cost of care.

Free Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic in Mount Sterling is Feb. 1 

Saint Joseph Mount Sterling and the Montgomery County Health Department will host a free drive-thru flu shot clinic on Saturday, Feb. 1. Flu vaccinations will be provided free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (while supplies last) at 104 East Locust Street, behind the new Extension Education Center. Participants are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the local food bank.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up to help build a Portland neighborhood home for Angel Richardson, who is working to fulfill her dream of home ownership for herself and her son.
