Ebola Virus Action
KentuckyOne Health continues to closely monitor the Ebola virus situation in collaboration with state health officials, CDC and CHI’s national office of Infection Prevention and Emergency Management. With the safety of our patients, employees and physicians a top priority, we have implemented a screening protocol across the system to identify and respond to potential cases of Ebola virus which is consistent with CDC and national CHI best practices. Leaders are in constant communication with all employees to guide response and action, and will provide updates based on the evolving situation and collaboration with national leaders. Click here to see a letter from Dr. Stephen L. Moore, senior vice president and chief medical officer of Catholic Health Initiatives, for information on our unified national response.
In addition to education materials provided to employees and leaders, a patient-facing information page is now available online at KentuckyOneHealth.org/EbolaUpdate. This is designed to educate the community, and address questions and concerns. All clinical staff members are applauded for their focus and excellence in providing care, and educating our communities during this challenging time.
