A Message from Bruce Tassin
July 1 marked the beginning of our new fiscal year – FY2019 – and with it a new phase in our ministry. With this new year, we are able to fully launch our three-year RENEW Strategic Plan with an emphasis on the communities, facilities and individuals we serve across central and eastern Kentucky.
Fundamental to our success in our new structure and strategic plan is a growth strategy committed to care in a local setting. Providing care locally is critical to patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. It is important that we provide the highest level of care as close to our patients’ homes whenever possible. We are focused on priorities for each facility and community we serve. This includes:
- Expanded access to specialty services, particularly oncology, women’s care, cardiovascular care and neurosciences.
- Physician recruitment and investment in medical technologies such as robotics, telehealth and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Collaborations with regional partners to extend geographic reach, particularly in rural communities.
By investing time, energy and financial resources in our people, our service lines, our physical spaces, our technologies and more, we are renewing our role in the community and reinforcing our leadership as we bring wellness, healing and hope to all. Through our recent performance culture assessment (employee satisfaction survey), you told us that you are highly engaged in your role and committed to making our organization a very special place for our patients and co-workers. We received some very positive feedback through the process, and your managers will be sharing more details with you soon.
Thank you for your ongoing focus, excellence and dedication. Through continued improvement of a culture where physicians and employees choose to serve, patients will choose our organization more and more every day.
