Our Lady of Peace and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital were honored with Kentucky Hospital Association Quality Awards at the organization's annual luncheon on Friday, May 10.
The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) Quality Award is presented to honor hospital leadership and innovation in quality, safety and commitment in patient care. Hospitals are encouraged to consider participation in this award process as recognition of their quality improvement and patient safety efforts and to assess their progress in creating an environment focused on safety.
According to Martha Mather, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Our Lady of Peace has received this award five times in the last seven years! Their recognition this year highlighted quality achievements regarding telehealth.
Shirley McJohnston, Vice President of Patient Care at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, said they received their first recognition for excellence in stroke care.
