Integration Update for KentuckyOne Health Providers: Sept. 16, 2019

With approximately 50 days left until the transition of KentuckyOne Health’s Louisville-based operations to UofL Health, hundreds of committed leaders, physicians and team members are working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and seamless conversion. Twelve work groups with dozens of sub workgroups are meeting weekly, each focused on a different aspect of the process.

The KentuckyOne Medical Group leadership and key providers have partnered with UofL Physicians to identify the opportunities associated with the collaboration and how best to address the needs of the providers, practices and our community and to build upon the strengths of both organizations.

Bringing together more than 1,000 providers under UofL Physicians will create the largest medical group in our region, providing unparalleled opportunity to grow and to better care for the underserved in our community with compassion and excellence.

We are happy to formally announce that all providers (physicians and APCs - advanced practice clinicians) will join UofL Physicians Nov. 1. As a new employee of UofL Physicians, you will go through new hire benefit enrollment Sept. 25-Oct. 6 to elect your benefits for the remainder of 2019.

Providers will also go through 2020 annual open enrollment scheduled for Nov. 7-Nov. 20.

In preparation of your transition, UofL Health Human Resources is hosting new hire benefit enrollment informational forums for providers beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17. These sessions are for providers only and are designed to provide information on the 2019 UofL Physicians benefits plan. For your convenience, UofL Health will offer both in-person and webinar forums. At these forums, providers will learn more about the benefit enrollment process.

Will the clinical practices be rebranded?
Yes, we will be rebranding the clinical practices. A team has been formed to work with the various practices to determine the name, to manage the process and to develop updated signage for every location.
