Members of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth joined Saint Joseph Hospital leadership and staff for an event on March 20, 2015, commemorating the renaming of the facility’s administrative conference rooms to honor the hospital’s Catholic heritage. The conference rooms are named for: Saints Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac, founders of the Daughters/Sisters of Charity; Mother Catherine Spalding, first leader of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth; Sister Euphrasia Stafford, first administrator of Saint Joseph Hospital (1877-1917); and Sister Michael Leo Mullaney who served as administrator from 1966-1988. Images of each of these honorees are now displayed in the conference rooms, along with brief biographies sharing the details of their service.
